I received a lot of hail damage and scratches from a storm that we just had. I took my van in a body shop and got an estimate. He spent more than I thought so I called my insurance company to file a claim and when they asked me what the body shop I want to work with, I told them I do not want to go through a bodybuilder. I told them that my husband used to own a body shop and wants to do the work himself. She said she would make a note. Will they permit? I wonder if they'll give us a solution and my husband do the job. I review American Family. Any info would be appreciated.
I used to work amfam and such institutions can be tricky. The shop includes a profit estimate amfam which will leave the estimate, if your husband will do the job himself. If your husband does not have a store, then he is not entitled to overhead or make a profit for the repairs. If you have a loan on the vehicle include the name amfam lien on the check that will make it even more fun. So, if your husband does not want make repairs because he thinks he will make a little extra money that does not happen. It is better to have it repaired in a shop. Good Luck
